Kimberley Rose

The Kimberley Rose, or Sticky Kurrajong is a deciduous tree that sheds its leaves early in the dry season and throws the most magnificent and sticky rose flowers.

This one resides atop Ord river Gorge, at Lake Argyle. The Ord River gorge walk is a short stroll from the Lake Argyle tourist village. Next you are up there, just ask the friendly staff at reception and they will point you in the right direction. If you are lucky, you may even catch this exact tree in full bloom. It is one amongst dozens on this ridge.
