Alacrity

Here is an upshot of one of my favourite Boab’s in the whole Kimberley region. All the ambient light in this image is from the 15% Waxing Gibbous crescent moon. There are only small windows for Astrophotography each month with the new moon. Too much light from the moon can light up the foreground and feature well, but wash out the stars and Milky way Galaxy.

Did you know that the light pollution in Singapore is so great, that they have totally washed out the Milky way. I feel that the wonderment of looking up at the night sky is an integral part of being a human being.
